Location

Williamson County is just south of Nashville‚ in the scenic rolling hills of Middle Tennessee.

Beginnings

The city of Franklin was founded in 1799 and named for Benjamin Franklin. The famous American patriot was a good friend of Continental Congress member Dr. Hugh Williamson‚ for whom the county was named.
